Current Position
Katy currently serves as a Team Leader in the Enforcement Division in the Water
Section where she reviews agreed orders and penalty calculations for water cases,
including those for aggregate production operations, wastewater treatment facilities,
stormwater sites, water rights, and others, which meet the criteria for formal
enforcement. She also reviews compliance documentation and ensures her team is
encouraging timely compliance with approved enforcement orders.
Prior Experience and Education
Katy has worked for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for nearly 14
years. She started out as an Enforcement Coordinator in the Drinking Water Section. In
2017, she was promoted to Work Leader for that section. In May 2021, Katy moved to a
Work Leader position in the Water Section and became the Team Leader there in 2022.
Katy obtained her Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Texas A&M University in 2008.
